Llanishen's Roll of Honour
1914-1918/1939-1945

In common with many other areas of the United Kingdom, men from Llanishen fought and died in the two World Wars. The men who perished in the First World War are recorded on two separate rolls of honour inside St Isan's Church. For the Second World War, 8 men are buried in the churchyard, while several more are recorded on private memorials within the church itself. The aim of this page is to record all of them in one location.

The Society would welcome any help or input from either relatives of the fallen or interested parties in providing more information about these men. In addition, if anyone knows of someone from Llanishen who is not on the list, we would also very much like to hear from you. Please contact us via email or via our Guestbook page.

We would like to thank Dr Jonathan Hicks, Garron Evans, Ritchie Wood, Patricia Evans, Margaret Aven, Phillip Thomas and some of the family members of the men listed below for their assistance and research.
