Llanishen and the Great War - 100 Years On

The war memorial on the West Wall of St Isan's Church

22 men who fell during the First World War (4th August 1914 - 11th November 1918) are commemorated in memorials in the Llanishen parish church of St Isan's. The majority of them lived in the village - others lived elsewhere in Cardiff but had family or friends living in Llanishen who wanted them recorded there.

This section of our website, commissioned for the end of the Great War Centenary, provides what information we have about these men - where they lived, where they served and what happened to them on the battlefield.

Lest we forget.
